My Dream

Since my time in Japan, sustained and progressive practice in certain disciplines have led to a number of key insights, giving me a heightened sense of self-realisation. As a result my potential purpose in life is beginning to become clear.

As noble as it may sound, I hope this humble blog page will be the first step in materialising my life-term dreams and ambitions and hopefully inspire others to seek, pursue and obtain theirs.

My vision for the future is to develop and construct a centre where people can come to study and train in order to gain clarity and impute meaning into their own lives.

My own life, if thought about in terms of a seed, first started in Norwich, twenty-five years ago. Over time, the seed slowly developed and began to adapt to the best of it's ability to the world around. This progress was nurtured by a loving family and friends. At the same time however, it inherited defective traits from society and parodoxically from the very people trying their best to help it.

Two years ago the wind blew the seed half-way across the other side of the world. Initially this put great stress on the seed, but thankfully it had been raised well and after some difficulties, it started to flourish and grow.

Living in Japan, I've landed in an environment where the earth is so rich and fertile that it provides the factors I need for continued and sustained development. For this I am extremely grateful.

In a world which is become increasingly complicated and disruptive, I hope to provide other people with an environment like the one I've found here in Japan.

Welcome to my site

Well after over 2 years of self-imposed isolation here in my little corner of Japan, I thought I'd would start the New Year by coming out of hibernation and assimilating some of my thoughts and ideas via the medium of the Internet.

The purpose of this site is three fold:

• My own benefit - There are only so many books you can read, websites you can bookmark and scraps of ink scrawled paper that can accumulate before you lose track of where you started. Hopefully, this site will allow me to impose some order over these thoughts and free up some space.

• For anyone who's interested - Living on my own in a foreign culture has perhaps given me a unique insight to life. Although still very young and naive about the world, I hope some of my ideas will be able to benefit others in some way and stimulate further contemplation on my part.

• Despite the distinct lack of correspondence with friends and family over the last 2 years, you are all seldom absent from my thoughts. Hopefully this site will enable us all to keep track of each others unique and ever-evolving lives.

I'll leave it there for now, but next time I'll go into some detail about what my life is like here in Japan and what I've been up to.
